Live: Lebanon's army prepares to deploy to south as ceasefire takes effect


Lebanon’s army early on Wednesday said it is preparing to deploy troops to the southern part of the country following a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah that came into effect at 4am local time. The army has asked residents of villages on the border to Israel to put off returning to their homes until Israeli forces have left. Read our liveblog to follow developments in the Middle East.
