Iran vows response to Israeli airstrikes amid escalating tensions | World News

Iran is preparing to “respond” to recent Israeli airstrikes, Ali Larijani, a senior adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said in an interview with Tasnim news agency on Sunday.

The remarks follow Israeli airstrikes on October 26, which targeted Iranian military facilities, including missile production sites, air defence systems, and nuclear infrastructure. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the strikes were in retaliation for Iran’s earlier launch of approximately 200 ballistic missiles aimed at Israeli military installations.

The airstrikes reportedly disabled key Iranian military assets, including advanced missile production facilities and Russian-made S-300 air defence systems. Experts believe it could take Iran up to a year to restore its air defence capabilities.

Iran has previously vowed to retaliate against Israeli actions. Larijani’s statement reflects the heightened tensions between the two nations, with both accusing each other of aggression in an ongoing cycle of hostilities.

The escalation comes as both countries continue to face international scrutiny over their military activities and broader regional influence.
