Iffat Omar, a former Pakistani model, host, and television actor, began her showbiz journey as a teenage model. She gained recognition for her outstanding performances in hit dramas such as “Nangay Paaon”, “Ghulam Gardish”, “Muhabbat Aag Si”, and “Aangan”. Currently on a break from acting, Iffat Omar remains in the spotlight as a vocal political speaker.
Iffat Omar recently joined Haroon Rafiq on the Aik Naya Zaviya podcast, where she expressed her desire for a secular Pakistan. She stated that she envisions a country where individuals are not questioned about their beliefs or practices.
Talking about it, Iffat Omar said, “I want a secular Pakistan. Again, it is my thought process. I think Quaid-e-Azam also wanted a secular Pakistan; he should have wanted a secular state, because the kind of thoughts he possessed and the kind of life he led, he should have wanted a secular state; if not, then it would be considered a hypocrisy. Religion is a private thing. We all believe in Allah, but who is practicing and who is not should not be people’s matter. I am answerable to Allah for my deeds; Namaz, recitation of the Quran, and other worships should be a private matter”. Here is the link to the video:
